No Deal: Why RB Leipzig Are Blocking a €120M Move for Yan Diomandé.

The summer transfer window has hit a massive roadblock for one of Europe's most wanted talents.

According to Sport Bild, RB Leipzig have decided NOT to sell teenage sensation Yan Diomandé this summer. The German club is holding out for a staggering €120 million (£102m), a figure they believe no suitor will realistically meet before the deadline.

Here is why Leipzig are holding all the cards.

A €120M Phenom: Why Leipzig Won't Budge

At just 19 years old, Diomandé is coming off a breathtaking debut season in Germany after his €20m move from Leganés last summer:

The Numbers: He racked up 13 goals and 10 assists in 36 games.

The Awards: He comfortably won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award.

The World Cup: He shone on the global stage for the Ivory Coast, further skyrocketing his market value.

With a contract running until 2030 and no active release clause, Leipzig are under zero pressure to sell their crown jewel on the cheap.

The Suitors: Who’s Bidding?

While several elite clubs have received the "green light" from the player's camp, meeting Leipzig's valuation is a different story:

Liverpool: The Reds have been the most active, seeing a massive €100m package (€80m upfront + €20m in add-ons) rejected.

Manchester United & PSG: Both clubs are heavily interested, with United believing they are in a strong position, but neither has shown a willingness to cross the €100m threshold.

The "Naby Keïta" Compromise?

If a powerhouse club desperately wants to secure the Ivorian winger this summer, sources suggest Leipzig will only play ball under one condition: a buy-and-loan-back deal.

This would mimic the deal Leipzig struck with Liverpool for Naby Keïta in 2017—allowing the buying club to secure his signature now, while Leipzig keep him on the pitch for one more season. Otherwise, expect Diomandé to remain in the Bundesliga for the upcoming campaign.
